  1. Replace "Brass Acorn type pipe nuts" with anything.

    "Hey, do you sell silicone grease?"
    "What application is this for?"
    "Umm... I'm building a robot from plastic."
    "Oh, well we don't have silicone grease, just silicone lubricant and .... [lists 20 things that are not silicone based]"
    "Yeah, thanks. I'll take the silicone lubricant because it's what I asked for in the beginning."

  3. This is so recognizable! Keep the comics coming!

    It's like the time when I asked for glycerol at a drug store. They gave me the stare. But when I explained I wanted to make biodegradable starch plastic, well... that didn't help a thing.

    And in the hardware store I don't mention self-replicating 3D printers anymore. It will ensure you're there for a long time to explain.
